about

i’m shabnam behnam, a senior product manager at bux. for me, product management isn’t just about features or business goals. it’s about people. it’s about listening, understanding, and creating real impact. my curiosity for both technology and how people interact with it led me to study computer engineering and business administration. this combination shaped how i approach problem-solving, allowing me to turn challenges into meaningful solutions that improve lives.
born and raised in iran, i’ve experienced firsthand what it means to be treated differently as a woman. but i also know the power of resilience. i refused to let limits define me. i fought for my place, my voice, and the right to be seen as an equal. now, i try to bring that same determination into everything i do. i break barriers, create opportunities, and inspire others to do the same. because equality isn’t given, it is built one bold step at a time.

what advice would you give to your younger self?

if i could go back and talk to my younger self, i’d tell you to speak up. your voice matters more than you think, even when it feels easier to stay quiet. staying silent to make others comfortable only dims your light, but you were meant to shine. instead of trying to fit in, focus on becoming the best version of yourself. the world doesn’t need more people who follow norms just because they exist. it needs those who dare to stand out, challenge ideas, create, and lead. and that is exactly what you are meant to do.

bux

at bux, we believe investing should be accessible to everyone — including women, who remain underrepresented in finance and tech. that’s why we’re putting our female employees forward as role models, sharing their stories to inspire confidence and action. inclusivity and diversity are essential, not just in investing, but in leadership and the tech industry as a whole. we want to empower more women to take charge of their financial futures and careers.
