about

my name is gayce manbodh-samadhan i was born in suriname, i’m married and mom of 3 young daughters. in my spare time i love to travel to enjoy other cultures and broaden my perspective of the world.

within eurofiber i’m responsible for the bid management department. my journey in it/telco started in 2011 and my passion grew ever since, i think this industry is much more surprising and exciting than most people would assume. it offers great career opportunities for (young) women. as a working mom i’ve found a great work-life balance, i get a lot of energy from being a mother and having a career besides that, not only because of the example i give to my daughters, but also because i find it important that women are financially independent.

i’m very perfectionistic(not always good , but ok) both in my personal and professional life, i find it important to make positive impact and i’m passionate about helping others grow. i’m happy my work is a great match on these aspects as well, knowing that it-infrastructure has sufficient impact on several aspects of the society such as healthcare, education and government.

i’m full of joy that, now more than ever, there is attention for what great assets we as women bring, besides only great cv’s. as a team manager i always encourage women to be open about their ambitions and speak up about what future steps they see for themselves, this helps to set personal goals straight. i hope in the near future more (young) women will embrace our industry and i will be able to support them in their journey.

what advice would you give to your younger self?

whenever you feel passionate about something, believe in yourself and take chances, even if it’s pushes you outside your comfort zone, that is the moment you’ll grow and get yourself ready for the next new challenge. i hope i will instill my 3 daughters with this belief as well.
