as an ai cloud engineer, i develop the ai platform for the municipality to support ai projects and ensure they are used ethically and securely. i love designing a platform that brings together so many people and initiatives.

what i enjoy most about my job is the diversity. growing up, i thought a career in tech was mainly about programming. but i quickly realised that success in this field relies on people and collaboration. tech needs all kinds of backgrounds and personalities to create something meaningful.

why do you think it is important that role models need to be visible?

when i started my career, i didn’t know what my next steps would be. having women in leadership positions around me truly made an impact. they were both my source of inspiration and a constant example of how to navigate similar challenges. seeing them a few steps ahead of me made me more confident in my own potential.

we all have role models, maybe well-known figures we see online, but having them close to you—getting a piece of advice during a coffee break—is what helps you steer your career, make that decision, and go for that role.
