about
born and raised in madrid, i have always been curious about how science can improve lives. at 22, i moved abroad to pursue a master’s in biomedical engineering in ghent. since then, my journey has taken me through hospitals, research environments, medical startups and design and development organizations in belgium and in the netherlands, where i help transform innovative ideas into safe, impactful medical devices. i am purpose-driven and passionate about healthcare, science and regulations. along the way, i’ve been fortunate enough to build a rich, multicultural community, constantly learning that innovation, like people, thrives on diversity.
what advice would you give to your younger self?
say yes more often – more than feels comfortable. take that flight, catch that train, apply for the job you’re convinced you’re not ready for, ask to be part of that important meeting. do not wait to be perfect before you start; you’ll figure it out as you go.
remember: you have time. embrace the journey; learn from the mistakes, celebrate the good days, and trust the process on the hard ones.
finally, dare to ask for help. build a network of mentors and friends who inspire, challenge, and encourage you. stay where you can be authentic to yourself.
