at the start of 2022, i joined the founding team at equals as community manager, where i was responsible for creating a community from scratch. my goal was to create a space where women could connect, grow, learn from each other, and enjoy being part of a supportive network – a social hub where women felt empowered to show up as their full selves.
through this experience, i witnessed firsthand how powerful community can be. when people come together with openness and trust, growth happens in ways that are sometimes subtle but deeply meaningful. i saw friendships form, women helping each other in both small and big ways, and members discovering their sense of purpose through workshops, events, and everyday conversations.
this role taught me that meaningful change often starts with connection and genuine curiosity.
i want young women to know that…
some of the most beautiful opportunities come from trying new things, following your curiosity, and surrounding yourself with people who genuinely support you. you’re allowed to grow, change direction, and redefine success in a way that feels true to you. you are the writer, creator, and director of your own story.

our mission is simple but urgent: make talent visible, create real opportunities, and challenge the systems that decide who gets a seat at the table. visibility matters. When women see role models with different backgrounds, paths and perspectives, it expands what feels possible.
but visibility alone is not enough. through our talent programs, we work every day to bridge the gap between talented women looking for opportunities and employers searching for skilled professionals. the talent is there. the real question is: who is willing to give it a chance?
