about

i’m lela. i’ve always loved solving complex problems – it’s what led me to mathematics, computer science and eventually, the tech world. i found my place in the automotive industry, where for over 15 years i’ve worked on shaping experiences that millions interact with every day. i lead customer programs that connect technology with real people and real needs. originally from tbilisi, georgia and now based in the netherlands, i bring a global view to my work. i care deeply about helping more women step into tech and leadership, and showing that with confidence and action, growth and impact are always within reach.

i want young women to know that…

you don’t need to wait to feel ready. take the seat, raise your hand, walk through the door – you’ll figure it out. that’s how you grow! confidence isn’t something you have, it’s something you build by stepping forward, again and again. the world is shifting fast and with ai transforming every field, adaptability matters more than certainty. stay curious. learn as you go. and when you take your seat at the table, take up space – and don’t forget to pull up a chair for someone else.

technology plays an enormous role in our lives, as it continues to evolve and solve new problems every day. yet women in tech are majorly underrepresented. at tomtom, we’re working hard to boost representation, equity and inclusion. but we know we can do more. joining equals for iwd is another step in the right direction. we’re thrilled to celebrate tomtom role models while inspiring girls and women everywhere to pursue world-changing careers in tech.
