chinese medicine practitioner at sun for soul
about
sun for soul was born from a return to my ancestral roots. raised by a traditional chinese medicine (tcm) doctor (my father) i grew up immersed in this medicine, yet initially chose a different path, building a career in corporate consulting in new york city. years of high performance, constant travel, and eventual burnout led me back to what i had known all along: the ancient healing wisdom passed down through my lineage. after pivoting careers, i formally trained in acupuncture and herbal medicine. today, i specialize in women’s hormonal health, supporting ambitious, high-capacity women navigating stress, fertility, and cycle imbalances. through sun for soul, i bridge classical chinese medicine with modern life; honoring cultural integrity while making this medicine precise, practical, and deeply understood.
i want young women to know that…
there is a why behind what you’re feeling. your body is not random, broken, or dramatic; it is intelligent, responsive, and deeply patterned. symptoms are not inconveniences to silence; they are information. when we learn to understand our cycles, our hormones, and our stress patterns, we gain real agency over how we move through work, relationships, and life. women’s health education extends far beyond fertility, yet many of us were never taught the basics. the knowledge exists. as we build connected communities, we can share it, preserve it, and empower each other.
sun for soul
thriving as a woman in the modern world is possible. at sun for soul, we honor the ancient knowledge and cultural lineage of traditional chinese medicine while making it accessible to modern women. women deserve clear, rigorous education about their bodies – well beyond wellness trends and surface-level advice. by deepening body literacy and restoring context to women’s health, we help women reclaim agency over their hormones, cycles, and long-term wellbeing. when one woman understands her body, she leads differently and becomes a role model for others.
