delta instituut
ai will reshape how the netherlands works, learns and governs. the nationaal ai deltaplan names talent as a national priority. but you can’t close a talent gap while half the population is underrepresented. today, too few women build, fund and govern ai, and technology designed by a narrow group serves a narrow group. at delta instituut we work on the long-term choices our country faces. role models matter because you can’t become what you can’t see. by joining equals, we want to show young women that the future of ai is theirs to shape.
adine tjeenk willink
ai adviser at delta instituut
about
i’m a two-time founder, ex-venture capital investor and operator. as operator i’m fractional chief of staff at channable, where i focus on structures and processes, sharpening decision-making so the company grows faster. i write angel tickets through rhythm ventures. i’m also ai adviser to delta instituut, and last year i co-wrote the nationaal ai deltaplan, a recommendation letter to the dutch government. about seventy percent of it landed in the coalition accord. on the side i’m building again, testing a new proposition in the market as a one-person company with ai at the centre.
what advice would you give to your younger self?
everybody is insecure about themselves, including the people who seem most confident. accept that as normal instead of waiting for it to disappear. then learn how to deal with it. what worked for me was deliberately doing things that scared me. each time, i used the last scary thing as a benchmark: if i could do that, i could do something even bigger next. confidence isn’t a feeling you wait for, it’s a track record you build, one uncomfortable step at a time.
