The Circle
Welcome to the Women in Art Circle, where together with Art & Pictures, we aim to challenge the traditional narrative of the art world by creating a space that nurtures women’s interest and knowledge in art.
Our mission is to provide a safe space for women to learn about the art scene, explore different art mediums, and buy art from women artists. Through our workshops and events, we bring together women from various industries and companies to connect through art, creating a like-minded network that extends beyond the office. Our mission is driven by the belief that the art world needs more spaces dedicated to art created by women, and women artists need more exposure and opportunities for their art to be visible. We offer more visibility to women artists, host a community for women artists, and allow women to connect and network through art.
We invite all women interested in art to join us for an event where you don’t have to be an expert to share your opinion. Come and help us reclaim our space in the art world!
Circle Leads
Nicky Huisman – van Wuyckhuyse
Nicky is the inspiring leader of Women in Art Circle, an online gallery that showcases and celebrates art and photography. Her passion for the arts stems from her upbringing, where she was exposed to many museums, galleries, and art fairs, thanks to her art-loving mother. With a profound appreciation for art, Nicky went on to study it and work for several prestigious Dutch museums, including Boijmans van Beuningen, Mauritshuis, and Singer Laren. Over the years, she has gained extensive knowledge about the history of art and photography, which she uses to curate and share captivating exhibitions with a broad audience. Nicky’s ambition to promote and showcase the beauty of art has led her to establish Women in Art Circle, where she continues to inspire and educate people about the power and magic of art.

Art & Pictures is a community dedicated to celebrating and promoting artists’ incredible talent and creativity. Founded in May 2018, Art & Pictures is an online gallery that features a wide variety of artwork from around the world, including mixed media, nature-inspired pieces, aerial photography, painted portraits, fashion photography, and much more. With a commitment to diversity and inclusivity, Art & Pictures believes that everyone should have access to beautiful and inspiring art. The Women in Art Circle is an integral part of this mission, spotlighting the incredible contributions of women artists and creating a supportive community for women in the arts. Join our community of ambitious women* who are here to connect, grow, and empower each other and become an Equals member to gain access to our circles. As a member, you’ll have access to our Clubhouse in Amsterdam, where you can work, have meetings, network, and attend our programming.
