Are you a woman entrepreneur who is in the pre-funding stage of business development? Are you ready to meet professionals who can teach you how to get from pre-funding to securing investors for your business venture? This is your chance!
The FEM-START platform is the FIRST educational platform to support women entrepreneurs getting funding! They have 3 courses on offer which demystify the world of funding and provide women the tools they need to feel confident enough to ask investors for funds. Equals is offering the program for free to all Equals members!
However, did you know that only 15% of people who enrol in online courses complete their program? Equals and Fem-Start are changing this statistic by providing additional support to women who are enrolled in their courses. To take 100% of the students to graduation we will provide two peer to peer events throughout the course where students can support one another, network and discuss any difficulties they may have. In addition, by having an Equals membership you have access to our Equals program & clubhouse, the perfect environment for you to come and work on the course assignments.
The Introductory course is free and available on FEM-START. This course is to be completed prior to beginning the cohort.
What will you learn?
The first course “Types of Funding” aims to discuss the different sources of investments that are available, and we will consider the following: What does it entail? What are the advantages? What are the disadvantages? Does it fit your business? Does it suit you (and your team)? (93 minutes video lessons)
In the second course you “Meet the investors”. You will learn: How to find the right investors, understand investors’ jargon, explain your product-market fit; prepare your financial plan and due diligence; get ready for your product/service demo! (124 minutes video lessons)
Timeline:
