“My name is Karyn van der Haar and I live in Uithoorn with my husband and 2 kids. I have been working in IT for over 16 years, in various roles. I have had roles that were internally oriented, like Culture and Climate Program Manager and Operations Manager and also roles that are externally oriented, like Service Delivery Manager. In all these roles, communication skills are very important. It is how I provide added value to our customers. My current job as Senior Service Delivery Manager is very varied. I am the first point of contact for our customers, have internal and external meetings, manage the finances of my accounts and go to new potential customers to present our various services and how we manage our accounts. No day is the same!”
What or Who inspired you to pursue your chosen career?
“The constantly changing environment of the tech field is very interesting and one that I find very inspiring. Innovation and change are always ongoing and the possibilities are endless within tech! Also, I have had several female role models in tech, with great leadership skills. “
