my name is nadia oujamaa, petroleum engineer by profession and mother by calling of two little princesses. i believe in taking initiatives and creating opportunities. the most astonishing times in my life came, because of in the moment seized opportunities. important values for me in life and work is thinking outside of the box, having a creative mindset and being resilient.

what or who inspired you to pursue your chosen career?

as the oldest daughter of immigrant parents, we used to go back to morocco every year to visit my grandmothers. who lived in remote mountain village in the atlas (south of morocco), this is were my passion for rocks & minerals started. my dad used to do a lot of self maintenance on his car, literally building a car engine from scratch. i used to help him as a kid, this is where the interest for technical came from. when i discovered petroleum engineering & mining at the tu delft, i knew where i wanted to be.
