integrations engineer at channable
about
after high school i went to one of the unis in latvia to study computer science and also worked part time as a programming teacher for kids. in my 2nd year of uni i got an amazing opportunity to become a part of a medical tech startup team as a full-stack engineer. there i created one of my most important projects – breast cancer awareness tool for women. after 3 years in the medical startup i dropped out of the university and moved to the netherlands to work as a python engineer in channable.
what or who inspired you to pursue your chosen career?
i chose software engineering because for me it was a way to gain financial independence and freedom. i also tried to spread this message to my students – coding is great because you will either find a passion of your life or you will save some money to pursue your true passion more independently. for me – i always liked coding not purely because it’s coding, but more as an instrument that can help people bring their ideas into life.
