about
my name is amarachi. i am 23 years old, and i have worked for 2 years as an it professional at qiss it. i have achieved my bachelor’s degree in business it & management. i am a very future-oriented person. most of the decisions i make are based on a certain vision for my future. my ambition for the future is to combine my work with traveling because seeing the world is something i’ve always dreamed of. in my spare time, i like to go to the gym, bake, and learn a new language.
who or what inspired you to pursue your chosen career?
definitely my mother. she has always told me that i have to choose my career wisely because it’s something i’ll have to do almost my entire life. it must be something i like and something in which i can be successful. i was very indecisive when choosing a field of study that would fit my interests. she tried to help me on this journey, talking to many people around her about my struggle with choosing a career path. then one day, she came to me and asked, ‘have you ever thought about it?’ and i said, ‘no, that idea never crossed my mind.’ since that day, i started to research it and what it could potentially offer me. i am very grateful that she stood by my side with this decision because i do enjoy my job a lot, and it gives me the opportunity to always try something new, considering it offers a lot of variation in career paths.
