lieke schepers, mother of 3, married to michiel, living in apeldoorn. curious, involved and driven, as a fellow human being but also as an employee of the randstad group. since 2019 ceo of the yacht group and a member of the board of randstad group netherlands, where i have built with great colleagues on well-regulated work for everyone, regardless of contract form and – as a partner for talent – enable to help our professionals and clients to move forward. working towards the most specialized and equitable talent company. and (as ceo of yacht) specifically responsible for all service concepts towards clients and employees and our ambitions in the professionals’ segment.
what qualities do you think are essential for success?
to others wanting to build a career, lieke advises to “stay close to yourself, and to what makes you unique, because unique qualities are exactly what we need to move forward together”. her second piece of advice is to “gather good people around you”. a mentor or sponsor within or even outside the company. they can be anyone from whom you can learn, or who can give you confidence. “people who will be there when you are facing challenges”. and in finding your way, failing is okay, as long as you dare to make mistakes and learn from them. because “if you learn, we all learn”
