my name is natascha ruimwijk. from the first time i started working with computers until now i have been fascinated by the world of it. i studied business informatics and information science and then started my first job as a young professional at sogeti. one of the assignments i got from sogeti was working as a functional application manager at sogeti. during this assignment i learned a lot about it in the transportation sector. i liked this so much that i applied for a job at gvb. now almost 11 years later i am still here working as a senior application specialist. the funniest thing is that eventhough i like it so much my hobbies besides gaming have nothing to do with it. i am actually baking cakes and dancing vogue in my spare time :-d. with a ballroom house that i am also really proud of. i am part of house of vineyard. the first dutch ballroom house in the netherlands.who or what inspired you to pursue your chosen career?
my dad inspired me. one day he brought home our first computer. we could do much on it just simpel games on a floppy disk. after that he bought a newer one. i even remember it’s operating system : windows 95. i was fascinated it was faster, had colors etc. after a while it started performing less. my dad and me would go to a computer store and when we got home we would sit on the floor open up de computer and add more memory a videocard etc. my dad saw that i loved figuring out how it worked and said you can go learn these thing at school. and i was interested. so my dad would research al the schools with me and we went to every single open house of the schools we picked. and finally we picked business informatics. i will be forever grateful to my dad
