about

hey there! i’m negina, a dutch-afghan whose curiosity in data and ai was sparked during my studies. driven by the philosophy that there’s always a better, smarter way to do things. now, as a senior data science consultant at dept®, i guide brands to unlock the potential of ai to create business value and always on the hunt for the latest digital trends. while doing so, i’m committed to smash stereotypes and empower women to pursue a career in tech. demonstrating that innovation and diversity can go hand in hand.

why is international women’s day important for you?

consider this: only 30% of ai professionals are women. this isn’t just a number; it’s a lost opportunity for innovation. why? research shows the importance of women’s unique perspectives for creating unbiased, innovative ai. women in ai can challenge biases and bring new insights, making ai not only more creative but also more equitable.

international women’s day serves as a powerful reminder of this gap and the urgent need for more inclusive ai. ensuring the technology we develop is as rich and varied as the world it serves.

companies can play a vital role by promoting stem education for young girls, diversifying recruitment, and empowering female employees to voice their ideas. it’s not just about balancing numbers; it’s about bringing varied insights that can revolutionize tech.
