about
i don’t dream. the concept of dreaming involves mental imagery, often perceived as distant and unattainable. instead, i firmly believe in setting concrete goals and working towards achieving them. i am driven by the conviction that with determination and effort, anything is possible. my life is guided by purposeful ambition. i aspire to make a meaningful impact on society, leaving a lasting legacy long after i am gone. my name is rafa cavalcanti, honored to serve as a united nations sdsn youth leader, recognized as both an imf and cartier women’s initiative fellow. as the founder and ceo of cloq, a fintech company, i have pioneered the development of a behavioral scoring model. our mission is to provide access to nano-credit, empowering individuals to establish positive credit histories. through cloq, we strive to facilitate financial inclusion and foster economic empowerment for all.
why do you think it is important that role models need to be visible?
philosophers have long debated reality, delving into questions about the nature of existence, perception, and the relationship between the observer and the observed. if reality is what we observe, what we perceive, how can a young child aim to be something that doesn’t exist in its reality? role models are the exception to current reality. if one person achieved what was once deemed impossible, it can be possible for many more. role models create pathways to possibility. they reshape reality. if there is still no role model for what you want to be, be your own role model!
