hi, i’m nur. i was born and raised in istanbul, where i studied business management before building my career in marketing and trade marketing at companies like vodafone, getir, and gorillas. in 2022, i moved to amsterdam to contribute to getir’s international expansion, embracing the challenge of working across cultures and markets. for the past year, i’ve been leading trade marketing at mediamarkt, where i focus on creating meaningful connections between technology and people.
throughout my journey, i’ve been driven by curiosity, resilience, and a passion for growth. i believe representation matters, and i want to inspire more women to see themselves in leadership roles in tech and business.

what or who inspired you to pursue your chosen career?

my greatest inspiration is my mother. as a traditional housewife, married young and focused on family, she didn’t fully pursue the education she once had the chance to follow — a choice she often regretted. yet she turned that into strength, raising me to become independent, ambitious, and confident in building my own path. her encouragement gave me the courage to pursue bold opportunities, move abroad, and grow into leadership roles. she taught me the importance of resilience, representation, and using opportunities wisely. today, every step i take as a professional is also a tribute to her, and to the second chance she created through me.
