als docent en practor mag ik mijn liefde voor onderzoek en onderwijs combineren, waarbij ik ook nog eens in contact sta met het werkveld. met mijn practoraat verbind ik het laboratoriumonderwijs met het werkveld, met behulp van praktijkgericht onderzoek. hierbij probeer ik authentieke beroepsopdrachten te vinden die wij in het onderwijs kunnen inzetten. zo leren de laboratoriumtechnici van de toekomst wat ze in het werkveld kunnen verwachten.
why is visibility during tech week important for you?
laboratoriumtechniek en onderzoek in het mbo zijn twee dingen die niet zichtbaar zijn. veel mensen hebben geen idee dat je in heel veel verschillende branches, van voeding tot gezondheid, en milieu en biotechnologie, allerlei laboratoria hebt. mbo’ers zijn nieuwsgierig en kritisch, waardoor zij ook heel goed betrokken kunnen worden bij onderzoek. zeker voor een praktische vertaling van het onderzoek.
