about

i’m uruguayan with a background in economics. i joined oikocredit in 2005, where i focused on inclusive finance, social performance, and capacity building. in 2017, i moved to the netherlands to start a family with my life partner, xander-paul, while continuing my journey at oikocredit. a year later, i became a proud mother to my son, matías.

in 2022, i transitioned into it as a project manager, leading the digitization of oikocredit’s outflow core business in salesforce. since 2023, i have been the team lead of the pmo, supporting project managers and shaping strategic change across the organization.

why do you think it is important that role models need to be visible?

i believe it’s important for role models to be visible because i’ve experienced how powerful it is to see someone you can relate to succeed. throughout my career, i’ve often found myself in spaces where people like me—women, mothers, or people from different backgrounds—were underrepresented. seeing others navigate those spaces gave me the confidence to pursue new opportunities. by sharing my story, i hope to inspire others to believe in their own potential and show that there’s no single path to success. visibility helps us break barriers and build more inclusive and supportive environments for future generations.
