about

i have always had a passion for technology, and especially computers from a young age. after moving to the netherlands to finish my studies i got the opportunity to start a career as a junior at adyen. over the last few years i have been constantly challenged at adyen and grown from a junior developer to a more senior role. through my work, i have gained deep insights into compliance and payment processes, and had the opportunity to train new people which, in turn, has helped me to gain a new perspective on my work.

over the last 16 months i have started to transition from male to female, this has presented many unique challenges, but luckily for me i am surrounded by compassionate, supportive people who have helped me face this challenge. i am proud of the person that i am today. i have overcome many challenges and grown, both in my personal and professional life. full of excitement for the path ahead i am confident that i can make an impact with the help of those around me.

why do you think it is important that role models need to be visible?

visibility is powerful, and my hope is that seeing someone like me openly representing trans women empowers others. i want to send a message to younger generations that they can be proud of who they are and they can achieve what they want while being true to themselves. i want to make a statement: “trans people are here, and we are people just like you.”
