about

i’m kirshnee, an analytics engineer at bux. born and raised in south africa, i never had a clear roadmap for my career, but i always had a deep curiosity for numbers and the stories they tell. studying statistics opened doors i never even knew existed, and today, i’m living my dream by working in an innovative and exciting field.

i’m passionate about transforming raw data into compelling visuals and insights that drive real impact. data isn’t just numbers—it’s a powerful way to tell stories, solve problems, and shape the future. as a woman in tech, i hope to inspire others to embrace uncertainty, chase their passions, and trust that their path will unfold in ways they never imagined.

why do you think it is important that role models need to be visible?

role models need to be visible because representation matters. when we see people who look like us in spaces we aspire to be in, it reinforces the belief that we belong there too. visibility challenges outdated stereotypes and breaks down the invisible barriers that can make women feel like they don’t have a place in this industry. by sharing our stories and being present, we show other women—whether they’re students, career changers, or just starting out—that there is space for them in tech.

at bux, we believe investing should be accessible to everyone — including women, who remain underrepresented in finance and tech. that’s why we’re putting our female employees forward as role models, sharing their stories to inspire confidence and action. inclusivity and diversity are essential, not just in investing, but in leadership and the tech industry as a whole. we want to empower more women to take charge of their financial futures and careers.”
