technical program manager at uber

about

forgoing a traditional career path has been my greatest asset. i started in economics and public sector consulting, but saw the untapped power of data in driving impact. that led me to a phd in spatial data science and work with the world bank, applying tech to global challenges. i also co-founded a map data community to support disaster response efforts. now, at uber’s ai team, i apply my diverse experiences to cutting-edge technology. each career shift has made me more adaptable, more creative, and more effective. there’s no single path to success—there’s power in exploring, pivoting, and letting every experience shape the next.

what advice would you give to your younger self?

the only certainty is that the world keeps changing—so be sure to evolve with it. never stop learning, never stop being curious, but also never stop being true to yourself and your values.
