chemreclaim
at chemreclaim, we believe deeptech needs diverse voices, bold ideas and people willing to build what does not yet exist. as a company developing advanced materials for critical industries, we know that progress often starts with challenging assumptions. the same is true for leadership. we want to lead by example and help more women see themselves not only participating in technology, but founding companies, leading teams, raising capital and shaping the industries of the future. visible role models matter because they make ambitious paths feel possible – and eventually, normal.

about
i am anna brueva, co-founder and ceo of chemreclaim, a dutch deeptech company developing advanced materials based on critical metals. my path into entrepreneurship was not linear. i worked across business, innovation and leadership before realizing i was most energized by building something from the ground up. starting chemreclaim meant stepping into deeptech without a conventional founder profile, learning fast and becoming comfortable with uncertainty. for me, leadership is personal. it is about staying steady when things are unclear, making decisions before you have all the answers and giving others confidence to move forward with you.
what advice would you give to your younger self?
trust yourself earlier. you do not need to look like the people who came before you. ask more questions. take more space. do not confuse being prepared with waiting until everything feels certain. choose people carefully, because the right people can accelerate you and the wrong ones can drain years. stay curious, but do not underestimate your own judgement. and remember that ambition does not have to come at the expense of being human. you can build something difficult and still care deeply about the people around you.
