about
equal opportunity matters to me because this field gave me room to grow into a role i hadn’t planned for. restarting my career three years ago meant picking a direction and committing to it, and cybersecurity is what i chose. i wasn’t starting from scratch technically, but the industry itself was unfamiliar, so i approached it the way i approach most things: pragmatically, hands-on, figure it out as you go. having the opportunity to step into something unfamiliar, learn, and prove myself has shaped the way i work as a technical account manager today.
i want young women to know that…
you don’t have to feel like an expert to start. you might surprise yourself with what you’re capable of; the only way to find out is to try. take the challenge, take the project, and take the role that pushes you. aim high and trust your curiosity to take you further than you expect.
