about

i’m chiara, a staff ai engineer at prosus, where i turn ambiguous ideas into ai systems that thousands of people use every day, from architecture and model choices to the unglamorous work of making things reliable. my work also spans the wider group: i help different prosus companies build with ai agents and run bootcamps so what one team learns doesn’t stay there. i trained as a chemist in italy, completed a phd in computational chemistry in belgium, and then moved into industry as a data scientist, a machine learning engineer and a technical leader, right as ai took off. i’ve reinvented myself at every step, carrying what i learned into whatever came next.
