hi, i’m aline. i didn’t start my career thinking i would found a company. i started in tech, worked my way through consultancy and corporate roles, and learned how to navigate rooms where women were often the minority.
for a long time, i adapted. until i experienced what happens when diversity is not the exception but the norm. the energy shifts. decisions improve. people grow differently.
that experience stayed with me.
in 2020, i co founded ellevate to help reshape how tech teams are built. today, we connect organisations with diverse talent across erp, data, and digital transformation, and we work to ensure inclusion is not an afterthought but a foundation.
because when women win, everybody does.
why do you think it is important that role models need to be visible?
you can only be what you can see. for a long time, i did not see many women in tech leadership, and i rarely saw mothers who were also founders or visible leaders. without realizing it, that shaped what i believed was possible for me.
everything shifted when i met women who were leading teams, building companies, mentoring others and raising families. they made ambition and motherhood coexist in a way that felt real, not theoretical.
role models matter because they expand the boundaries of what we allow ourselves to imagine. sometimes seeing someone else do it is the first step to believing you can too.
