vandebron

at vandebron, we’re building smarter energy. and we can only do that with different perspectives at the table. by showing that women belong – and thrive – in tech and energy, we challenge outdated norms and create space for others to see themselves here. representation isn’t a side note. it builds confidence, unlocks opportunity, and drives better ideas. if we want a truly inclusive energy transition, we need inclusive teams behind it. supporting this campaign is part of that commitment to building a culture where everyone belongs and can help shape what’s next.

about

i believe being a role model in tech means showing up authentically, even when the path is steep. my journey wasn’t traditional. i took the leap into tech with a major career shift while pregnant with my second child, fueled by a deep-seated dream for more.

moving to the netherlands in 2024 was the next chapter of that dream. it wasn’t always easy to balance a new country and a new role, but by staying true to my goals, i grew from a developer to a team lead in less than a year.
for me, tech is not just about code, it’s about the resilience required to build a life you love. i want to show every parent and every expat that you don’t have to choose between your family’s journey and your professional peak, you can lead from the front in both.

what advice would you give to your younger self?

1)stop waiting for “”perfect timing””. big moves, like switching careers while pregnant or relocating abroad, are never convenient. don’t wait; action creates its own momentum.

2)your “”non-tech”” life is an asset. motherhood and immigration aren’t distractions; they are masterclasses in resilience and prioritization. these “”soft”” skills are exactly why you’ll succeed as a leader. own them.

3)bet on your velocity. you might start as a newcomer in a new country, but that’s just day 1. if you stay curious and proactive, the gap between where you are and where you want to lead disappears fast.
