i started working at kpn when i was 22. i began with voice technology, then moved into data, and later into strategy and regulation. along the way, i learned a lot and grew with the changes in the field. when i started, it was mostly a man’s world, but luckily that is slowly changing and more women are joining. i have two children and i am a grandmother. in my free time, i enjoy running, sometimes a half marathon or a trail run.
why international women’s day is important for you?
international women’s day is important to me because i believe the world needs more balance. even today, the global system often rewards the wrong things, and the way we organize our societies feels prehistoric. i hope for a shift toward a world where compassion, humanity, and fairness are at the center, rather than conflict or profit alone. celebrating women is a reminder that change is possible, and that a new mindset more balanced, more inclusive can create a better future for everyone.
