RMC2024 – Inbal Shofty

Inbal Shofty (she/her)

Senior Analytics Translator at Xomnia

About

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in statistics, I find myself often seeking a career that brings those two worlds together. This has taken my professional life in different directions, from managing projects, facilitating workshops, and determining data strategies, to teaching at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences and working as a data scientist. Currently, I work as an Analytics Translator at Xomnia, where I also serve as a ‘person of trust’, which suits my empathetic, people-loving personality. Besides that, I am a mother of three young children and I love the summer and the Mediterranean sea.

Why do you think is important that Role Models need to be visible?

Each one of us will come across different kinds of struggles and challenges throughout their professional career. By having visible role models, people can see and learn from the journey of others. I made many decisions in my career with a role model in mind. Even though they did not necessarily know that they were a role model to me, they helped me shape my own journey just by being visible.

Xomnia

Xomnia is partnering with Equals Amsterdam’s Role Model Campaign for the second year in a row to encourage and inspire women and girls to confidently choose a tech career. Joining this campaign also provides us with a valuable platform to celebrate some of our female team members and shed light on their success, which we are very proud of.
