this year, equals is marking diversity day with our 2026 role model campaign, bringing together 10 companies and 40 inspiring role models across 2 cities in the netherlands; amsterdam and rotterdam, to make that idea real. with genuine stories of perseverance, innovation, and success, we’re using this moment to break down barriers and open doors for future leaders in every field.

this year’s edition puts a special spotlight on ai, with 30 of our role models being female founders and leaders of ai companies and startups. as the technology reshaping every industry is still being built by a strikingly narrow group of people, showcasing these women matters: diversity in ai isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s who gets to shape the tools defining the future.
